BOSS vs Ninety

Ninety is one of the most popular tools for teams running EOS, with a free plan and four tiers. BOSS covers the same rhythm with built-in connections for QuickBooks and MSP tools.

Checked against Ninety's public website and help center on October 29, 2026.

The short answer: choose Ninety if you want an established product with a free plan, phone apps and coaches already working in it. Choose BOSS if you want scorecard numbers filled in from QuickBooks Online or Desktop and your PSA without Zapier, a daily huddle board, and a note-taker that joins your calls, with planning and people tools included from the $12 plan.

Where they differ

Numbers on the scorecard

Ninety brings numbers in through Zapier or its API on the top plan, and documents QuickBooks Online through Zapier only. BOSS connects directly to QuickBooks Online and Desktop and to Autotask, ConnectWise PSA, HaloPSA and Kaseya BMS, so a typical MSP scorecard fills itself in.

What each plan includes

On Ninety, quarterly and annual planning, one-on-ones and people reviews start on Accelerate at $14, and processes and the API on Thrive at $16. On BOSS, planning, people tools and processes are on the $12 Team plan; connectors and the AI assistant are on the $14 Pro plan.

Meeting notes

Ninety does not record meetings. BOSS can take notes from the room, import a Teams transcript, or send a live note-taker into Teams, Zoom or Google Meet that suggests to-dos for someone to accept.

Where Ninety is ahead

A free plan, far more published reviews, a partner hub where coaches build agendas, and phone apps. Both sync to-dos with Asana, ClickUp and monday.com.
