BOSS vs Strety

Strety comes from the makers of BrightGauge and is popular with MSPs. BOSS is also built with MSPs in mind, with the difference in where the numbers come from and how meetings are captured.

Checked against Strety's public website and help center on October 29, 2026.

The short answer: choose Strety if you want deep people tools with performance reviews and an HR center, phone apps, an Outlook add-in and BrightGauge dashboards, with PSA tickets flowing into to-dos. Choose BOSS if you want PSA and QuickBooks numbers on the scorecard itself without BrightGauge, QuickBooks Desktop support, a daily huddle board and a note-taker that joins your calls.

Where they differ

Numbers on the scorecard

Strety connects PSAs to to-dos and tickets, and fills the scorecard from BrightGauge, which is billed separately. BOSS fills ticket numbers straight from Autotask, ConnectWise PSA, HaloPSA or Kaseya BMS, and money numbers from QuickBooks Online or Desktop, with no dashboard tool in between. See a starting MSP scorecard.

Meetings and notes

Both run timed weekly meetings. BOSS adds a live daily huddle board, and a note-taker that joins Teams, Zoom or Google Meet. Strety's AI writes notes from what is typed in the meeting, and its check-ins are scheduled written updates.

Where Strety is ahead

Broader people tools including performance reviews and an HR center, phone apps, an Outlook add-in and live human support. Both have a Microsoft Teams app, Slack posts and surveys. If you already pay for BrightGauge, its dashboards connect directly.
